Trumps

Trumps is a proud Australian 3rd generation family business, which has been in business for over 70 years and survived the 1974 Brisbane floods. Unfortunately on the 13th January our Rocklea facility was inundated with approximately 2m of water. We first entered our site on the 14th of Jan and nothing could have prepared us for what we found. Personally I have never experienced a flood or its' aftermath, and could barely comprehend what we faced.

Immediately the clean up process began. The Trumps team has dedicated many long days to rebuild our business. We could not have achieved what we have without the support and effort of the many volunteers, brothers, sisters, neighbours, friends, friends of friends and the rural and city fire fighters. We will forever be thankful for their assistance during our time of need.

Some example of stories that rebuild your faith in the human spirit

On the first Saturday of the clean up, a man from Caboolture turned up at our front gate with a bobcat and offered any assistance we needed. He worked tirelessly for the whole day, and then apologised that he could not come the next day. However the next day his wife, 3 sons and a friend came and helped for the whole day. When we asked for the details so we could say thanks, they declined to provide them.

A couple were holidaying in a caravan down the Gold Coast, came to help for approximately 5 days, and actually moved their caravan closer to make it easier to come and help.

Our suppliers are working very closely with us; parts and stock are coming from all over the world to expedite the recovery process.

We have come so far and are now running a portion of our production 24 hours a day to rebuild the stock we have lost. We plan to be back in full production in the near future.
